Ingo Schweder – Founder & CEO
As CEO and founder of GOCO Hospitality, Ingo Schweder brings more than 30 years of experience from the fields of spa and hospitality. He has been involved with the design, development and worldwide operation of iconic hotels and wellness destinations. Ingo is considered to be one of the foremost hotel and spa experts in the world, and his experiences and accolades to date are a fitting testament.
He established Ananda in the Himalayas, the globally recognized destination spa. During his tenure at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, he established 15 spas on four continents. Prior positions include Group Director of Hotel Operations for Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Managing Director of Rafael Group Hoteliers, Southeast Asia.
Ingo has been recognized with countless industry awards including Spa Personality of the Year, Excellence in Hospitality Design, Most Distinguished Industry Motivator, and Best Spa Company. Always engaging and willing to share his expertise, he is a frequent speaker at hospitality-related symposia and sits on the Board of the Spa India Association and the China Spa Symposium.
Many of his past projects still top the list of some of the leading industry awards including Condé Nast Traveler, winning ‘Best Resort’ and ‘Best Spa’ honors.
Josephine Leung – Group Director – Design
As Group Director of Design, Josephine is responsible for overall project management and delivery of GOCO Hospitality’s Design and Technical Services from initial briefs, concept design, and technical services to site administration.
As a licensed Architect and Urban Designer, Josephine has an extensive portfolio ranging from regional city planning, mixed-use developments, residential communities to hospitality projects across Asia.
Josephine was Vice-President and Director of Design at HOK International Ltd, and during that time the team won ‘Best Urban Design Firm of the Year 2007’, ‘AIA Sustainable Urban Design Award 2007’ and many other awards. Prior to joining GOCO Hospitality, Josephine was Head of Design at IMC Octave, project managing and designing a US$ 380 Million 70-key destination wellness community including assisted living, education and a retail elements in Suzhou, China.
Josephine met Ingo collaborating at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel, a multiple award-winning project in Hong Kong, where she worked as Project Architect.
Matthew Brennan – Director – Finance
As Director of Finance, Matt is responsible for all financial tasks of the organisation and the completion of all business proposals and agreements. As Director of Horwath HTL Health and Wellness, GOCO Hospitality’s sister company, he is also responsible for the management of the market research and feasibility team. Prior to joining GOCO Hospitality, Matt worked within the Financial Planning and Analysis Department of Archstone, LLC, a leader in luxury apartment operations in opportune North American markets such as New York City, Washington DC and Southern California. Matt co-authored the chapter, “Spa Feasibility – Steps and Processes” of the first Spa management textbook titled “Understanding The Global Spa Industry: Spa Management,” published by Oxford University Press. He also has contributed to other industry publications.
Sridhar K.R. – Director – Human Resources
Sridhar is responsible for leading the development of human resource strategies and human resources brand standards for all GOCO Hospitality projects both externally and internally. Prior to joining GOCO Hospitality, Sridhar served as a General Manager of Human Resources with Hotel Leela Venture Limited who operates eight premier luxury hotels and resorts in India. He also functioned as Director of Human Resources for Hyatt Hotels in India for over ten years, helping them open the award winning Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa and Grand Hyatt Mumbai, apart from supporting development of Hyatt hotels across South West Asia.
From 1998 – 2002 Sridhar and Ingo worked together on setting up India’s leading wellness resort, Ananda in the Himalayas.
