What To Do
How to make the most of your day!
Whether your first or fiftieth visit, we wish you a day of healthful rejuvenation — to be yourself, to relax and renew, to celebrate and unwind, and above all, a day that leaves you feeling revitalized with a deeper sense of wellbeing.
Use our Map to explore Glen Ivy’s beautiful grounds, botanical gardens, pools and spas, quiet places, and gathering areas where you can socialize with friends and family. As part of your day we offer a full program of classes, activities and workshops designed to promote greater health and wellness, included with your admission. Check the Classes & Activities Schedule to plan your day.
Massage, Body Treatments, Skin Care and Nail Care services provided by professionally-trained staff help reduce stress and revitalize body and mind. Enjoy a memorable massage with your favorite person in a Together Massage or in the presence of nature with the sounds of water falling in open-air rooms under a canopy of ancient Live Oak trees in an Under the Oaks Massage – be sure to ask for availability when making your reservations and check this month’s specials and packages. For reservations, please call 888-GLEN IVY and we’ll be happy to help you plan your day.
Taking the waters is central to the Glen Ivy experience and has an amazing effect on the body and skin, as well as muscles. Seventeen unique pools, baths and spas are located throughout the grounds, each offering special benefits. Glen Ivy’s famous geothermal hot springs flow year-’round and hover at a comfortable 104°F. A calming soak in these traditional Mineral Baths will open pores and relax muscles before a treatment or after exercise. Please take care with silver jewelry, as it may tarnish in mineral water.
Using the Hot Pool and Cold Plunge at the Terrace Pools can be an invigorating form of hydrotherapy. We suggest a few minutes of immmersion in the Hot Pool, followed immediately with the Cold Plunge for 30 seconds or more (not recommended for pregnant women or those with health concerns – please consult your personal physician). A favorite with guests is the shallow Lounge Pool, a perfect place to wade or float on a raft while catching up with friends and enjoying a refreshing beverage from the Paradise Bar. Soothe aching muscles and joints in the heated Saline Pool or sit back and enjoy Glen Ivy’s natural beauty beneath the Santa Ana Mountains with majestic views of the Temescal Valley at Vista Pool.
Unique to Glen Ivy Hot Springs is Club Mud, Southern California’s only red clay mineral bath. This full-body therapy aids in softening skin, drawing out impurities and exfoliating dead skin cells — and, it’s just plain fun! If you plan to receive any Skin Care treatments during your day, please refrain from putting clay on your face and neck, and note that Club Mud mineral water and clay may tarnish silver jewelry and stain light clothes or hair.
Complement a mud bath with a visit to The Grotto, Glen Ivy’s signature full-body moisturizing treatment made with aloe vera, shea butter and botanical extracts. Enjoyed on your own or with friends in underground caverns, The Grotto includes a refreshing multi-head shower and time to unwind with green tea and apples. Reservations are required.
Breakfast and Lunch are served daily in Café Solé and prepared under the artful direction of Executive Chef Bill Wavrin. In addition to our own organic gardens and orchards, our spa kitchen uses the freshest seasonal ingredients and sources locally. New to the culinary lineup is Sunflower, where you can enjoy a unique selection of sushi, sashimi, temaki hand rolls, and other light fare.
Celebrating a special occasion? Glen Ivy is the perfect destination for a memorable birthday, anniversary, bridal or baby shower, reunion, or girls’ day out. Ask about our concierge services and areas reserved for private groups and parties, including the secluded rooftop Cabañas, Club Solé and Paradise Falls.
