Mom-to-Be Massage

Glen Ivy therapists are specifically trained in pre-natal massage so that moms-to-be may enjoy a safe, comfortable and relaxing experience tailored to their needs, while in a side-lying position.

Please note Mom-To-Be Massage is available only for guests currently in their second and third trimesters (14 weeks or later). Expecting mothers in the first trimester (Week 1 thru Week 13) may receive nail and skin care services up to 50 minutes in length. Please consult your physician if you have questions or concerns.

Watsu®
An extraordinary form of warm water hydrotherapy massage which integrates the healing qualities of water with stretches, acupressure, and cranio-sacral manipulation. Each session is not only a massage, but a profound experience that promotes healing “shifts” on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Appointments available on a weekly basis each Monday starting May 20th, 2013 – November 26th, 2013

Reiki
A form of energy work from Japan utilizing universal life energy, chi, to aid in healing. Reiki is done with the guest fully clothed & without oil or lotion.

Theta Healing Sessions with Anke Banderski
This one-on-one session will help you to discover your intuitive abilities that can be used to bring about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing.  By shifting your brain wave cycle to reach the deep, relaxed Theta state, you can connect with creator energy, changing how your mind influences your body to create optimum health and empowering you with the ability to remove and replace negative emotions, feelings and thoughts with positive, beneficial ones. Appointments available on a weekly basis each Friday.

Shiatsu
Shiatsu, literally “finger pressure,” is a Japanese technique employing traditional acupuncture points but without needles. The treatment brings about a sense of relaxation while stimulating blood and lymphatic flow.

Reflexology
Involves manipulation of nerve reflex areas in the feet that correspond to other parts of the body. Sometimes referred to as zone therapy, this bodywork involves application of pressure to these reflex zones to stimulate body organs and relieve congestion.

Lomi Lomi
An ancient form of massage from Hawaii, sometimes called the “Loving Hands” massage. Lomi Lomi works gently into muscles with continuous flowing strokes, evoking the nurturing experience of truly being in loving hands.

Under the Oaks

Private spaces open to the sky, surrounded by the sounds of water falling, covered in comfort beneath the protective canopy of ancient live oak trees. Enjoy Glen Ivy’s world-class massage treatments in this natural ambiance. Space is limited, and weather permitting. Together Massage is available Under the Oaks, too!

Please note that Under the Oaks is available starting March 1st. We are unable to perform the Hot Springs Stone Massage, Mom to Be Massage or any of the Specialty Massage Experiences Under the Oaks. Unscented oils are used in Under the Oaks treatments.
