Spa Etiquette and Rules

At Glen Ivy we ask that all our guests abide by the following Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to the Code may result in removal from the property.

Your Rights and Responsibilities as a Spa Guest
To enjoy your spa experience to the fullest, observe the Code of Conduct, act responsibly and be aware that common sense and personal awareness can help ensure your satisfaction, comfort and safety, as well as that of others.

AS A SPA GUEST, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO:
• Communicate your preferences, expectations and concerns
• Communicate complete and accurate health information and reasons for your visit
• Treat staff and other guests with courtesy and respect
• Use products, equipment and therapies as directed
• Engage in efforts to preserve the environment
• Adhere to the spa’s published policies and procedures

AS A SPA GUEST, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO:
• A clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Stop a treatment at any time, for any reason
• Be treated with consideration, dignity and respect
• Confidential treatment of your disclosed health information
• Trained staff who respectfully conduct treatments according to treatment protocols and the spa’s policies and procedures
• Ask questions about your spa experience
• Information regarding staff training, licensing and certification

Rules

Cancellations: If you are unable to keep your appointment and need to cancel and/or reschedule, please call 1-888-GLEN-IVY (1-888-453-6489) before 4pm the day prior to your scheduled appointment and speak with an agent directly to submit your cancellation or reschedule request. Those calling after 4pm the day before or those who do not appear for their scheduled appointment will be charged 100% of the treatment price on the credit card on file.

Age Limitations: Glen Ivy welcomes guests 16 years and older. Spa treatments, including but not limited to massages, body treatments, facials, nail services and waxings are all available for guests 18 years and older. Parental supervision for admission AND spa treatments is required for guests under 18.

Check-in: Plan to arrive at the Spa one hour prior to your treatment time and check-in no later than 15 minutes before your scheduled treatment time. Please give yourself ample time for check-in since wait times can vary, especially on the weekends. As a courtesy to the next scheduled guest, your treatment will end on time regardless of the time it begins.

Please Be Courteous: To preserve the Spa’s tranquil environment, we respectfully request that you leave all electronic devices turned off.

What To Wear: In consideration of all Glen Ivy’s guests, appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times while in the general access areas of the Spa.

Eating and Drinking: Try not to eat for at least an hour before a treatment and avoid the consumption of alcohol on the day of a treatment. Also remember to drink plenty of water before and afterward. Please do not bring outside food or drink into the spa. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in treatment buildings, retail areas or the front desk area. Smoking on the spa grounds is prohibited.

Health Concerns/Pregnancy: Some spa services may not be suitable if you have health issues or if you are pregnant. We offer a Mom-To-Be Massage which can be administered after the first trimester. Please consult your physician or discuss with our reservation staff or therapist.

No Smoking Policy: Glen Ivy is a smoke free and drug free facility. We prohibit the use of smoking tobacco products (including cigarettes, cigars, pipes and e-cigarettes). Smoking is prohibited anywhere on Glen Ivy property.

Communication During a Massage: It is fine to carry on a conversation with your therapist during a massage, although most guests find that silence enhances the tranquility. Please give your therapist some feedback about the amount of pressure or areas of your body that need special attention.

Gratuity: Gratuity is not included in the price of a treatment unless otherwise stated. If your spa experience was a positive one (and please let us know if it wasn’t) it is customary to tip your service provider.

Safety: We make it a priority to provide a comfortable, relaxing and safe experience for all our guests. Please abide by all Glen Ivy policies, safety warnings and notices. We have short-term first aid available, which any spa attendant can assist with. Glen Ivy policy prohibits employees from assisting guests in and out of wheelchairs. Guests who require special assistance should personally be accompanied at all times during their stay or services. Weapons of any type are not permitted on property at any time.
