At Glen Ivy being green is a way of life. We believe that the preservation of our Earth today will bring healthy benefits for all generations tomorrow. The employees at Glen Ivy have also embraced this need to be green and have formed a committee of dedicated members who strive to contribute a sustainable future through their actions.
Sustaining Earth’s Environment Daily, better known as S.E.E.D, is a group of employees committed to creating a better environment for all. Their culture is one of environmental awareness and their mission is to sustain earth’s environment while creating memorable, meaningful and enjoyable experiences in everyone, every day.
Committee members are committed to the 3 R’s – REDUCE consumption, waste and pollution, REUSE what we have, and RECYCLE! The committee meets every month to plan events, recycle various materials, plan spa clean up days, and discuss ways to bring GREEN awareness to all Glen Ivy employees. Some of the fun events include picnics in the park, making pinecone bird seed feeders, creating seed bombs, and utilizing resources around the spa and in the community. S.E.E.D members strive to educate others on sustainability and to build relationships with like-minded people who want to make more environmentally friendly decisions. Together we can all make a difference in the world we live in and how we will leave it for future generations.
