Intentions into Actions
With the start of 2011 our challenge to you is to
“Turn Intentions into Actions…”
The aim to make improvements to our lives and our selves in the upcoming year is an age old tradition, but forming resolutions, big or small, can be daunting. At Glen Ivy Spa we want to suggest that this thoughtful, introspective process be directed toward identifying intentions and turning them into actions. Jennifer Merrett quotes in her Glen Ivy Blog post, “An intention is a direction – a course you set for yourself. You can’t fail at an intention; sometimes you can just get off course. And intentions are positive. Studies show that you’re more likely to succeed at goals that you feel positively about – getting healthy – than at those that are seen as negative, like going on a diet.”
To get you started and offer some inSPAration to the process, we are inviting you to Share your Intentions! We will share as many as we can through the Blog along with any suggestions the Glen Ivy professional team has to offer to keep you on track. The week of January 10 we will select one submission to receive 12 Free Admissions to Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, one for every month of the year! Visit the Blog for more details and how to Enter to Win.
Some of the intentions that have been shared with us so far:
- I resolve to be much more organized
- to start an exercise regimen
- step out of my comfort zone to experience new things
- live a healthier lifestyle
Through this month on the Blog, Facebook, and Twitter we will be sharing strategies on how to identify and prioritize your intentions, plus resources and ideas for shifting them into action. We are also excited to announce that some Glen Ivy Spa professionals will be sharing their expertise for staying on track and measuring success. Watch the Blog for discussions on healthy eating, fitness, managing stress, and sustainability, just for a start.
We will also be looking at the many new Events and Activities being offered at Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona. From yoga and tai chi, to poetry and zen, to music, there is something for everyone. Try one of these activities and discover something new about yourself.
