Angel Faces
“Chair Massage for a Cause” is in full affect here at the Hot Springs and we’d like to introduce you to another amazing organization that the proceeds from the chair massages will help benefit—Angel Faces.
Established in 2003, Angel Faces is a non profit organization whose mission is to provide healing retreats and ongoing support designed for adolescent girls with facial disfigurements so that they can achieve their optimum potential and develop meaningful relationships for themselves, their families and their communities.
As the only innovative national program of its kind in the United States, the program uses intensive retreats that helps young girls grow more self-confident so that they, along with their families, can begin their own healing process.
During the retreats, the girls experience a variety of activities ranging from presentations in self leadership to jewelry making, making sure there is a balance to their time addressing grief and trauma issues and fun activities. The end result is a new and hope-filled start for the girls who leave the retreat with skills and tools to create the life they want and to overcome the challenges of living with a facial disfigurement
So join us at the Hot Springs throughout October and help give back (while relaxing!) with “Chair Massage for a Cause.” The proceeds will be going towards Angel Faces as well as other local organizations which will be highlighted in the following weeks! See you at the Spa!
